Since 1986 Sanrio has held the annual Sanrio Character Ranking poll where fans can vote on their favorite characters. Sanrio hosts two theme parks in Japan featuring their characters, Sanrio Puroland in Tama, Tokyo, and Harmonyland in Hiji, Ōita, Kyūshū. Notable designers of Sanrio characters include Yuko Shimizu, original designer of Hello Kitty, Yuko Yamaguchi, lead designer for most of Hello Kitty's history and Miyuki Okumura, original designer of Cinnamoroll. Beginning with Jewelpet in 2008, Sanrio started collaborating with Sega Toys in creating characters intended to become media franchises. The characters subsequently appeared in media such as books, animation and video games. Typical merchandise featuring the characters include clothing, accessories, toys and stationery. Sanrio began creating characters to increase sales of its merchandise. Most Sanrio characters are anthropomorphized animals, a few are humans or anthropomorphized objects. Their most successful and best known character, Hello Kitty, was created in 1974. Sanrio sells and licenses products branded with these characters and has created over 450 characters. This is a list of characters from Sanrio, a Japanese company specialized in creating kawaii (cute) characters. You can also freeze the muffins in a freezer bag for up to 3 months! These dairy free muffins can be stored in an airtight container or ziploc bag at room temperature for up to 5 days days. Fill the muffin liners right to the top !.Rest the batter for an hour before baking: This is optional, but it creates a nice domed top and taller muffins.Over-mixing will lead to a tough texture in your muffins. Don't worry if there are lumps in the batter. Don't over-mix the batter! The dry ingredients should only be mixed into the wet ingredients until the last specks of flour are gone.Adding too much flour to the batter will lead to dry muffins! If you aren't using a scale, use the scoop and level method. Properly measure your flour: I highly recommend using a $15 kitchen scale to weigh your dry ingredients (metric measurements are in the recipe card below).This recipe makes 12-14 muffins depending on the size of your muffin tin (some muffin tins are deeper than others and hold more batter). A toothpick inserted in the middle of the muffins should come out clean! Without removing the muffins from the oven, lower the temperature to 350☏ and bake for 10-16 minutes more. Step Four: Bake the dairy free muffins for 5 minutes at a high temperature of 425☏ to help them rise quickly. The flavor will be the same if you decide to skip this step. This creates taller, more domed muffin tops. Optional Step: Let the muffin batter rest for one hour and room temperature. Mix until just combined, don't worry if there are a few lumps! Stir in the chocolate chips. Step Three: Add in the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt). Whisk in the eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk. Pour the sugar and oil into the bowl then whisk it all together. Step Two: Melt the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl (or in a small pan over the stove, then transfer to a large bowl). Let sit for 5-10 minutes until the milk has curdled. Add in vegan milk of choice until it fills to 1 cup (you should have 1 cup of liquid in total). Step One: Make the buttermilk by pouring 1 tablespoon of white vinegar into a liquid measuring cup or a regular 1 cup measuring cup.
